Providing a fresh perspective on the historic civil rights struggle for marriage equality, this documentary follows movement leader Evan Wolfson, civil rights attorney Mary Bonauto, and their colleagues as they wage a climactic battle before the United States Supreme Court. According to Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times, “In a political climate in which all things progressive are at risk, the film is a reminder ... that no triumph can be taken for granted.”
